Maison Emmanuel

Assisting with the renovation/restoration of buildings, building fence, landscaping, cleaning up biological gardens and flowerbeds, helping to care for animals, housekeeping duties, preparing meals for the community residents, organizing craft activities, dance, pottery, art, planning special events.

A great deal of time is spent trying to provide a stimulating and welcoming environment for the villagers.  Although the villagers have slight intellectual disabilities, they are treated as regular citizens of a strong and tightly woven community.  Life is very colourful at Maison Emmanuel, and the Katimavik participants are actively involved in enriching the lives of both the co-workers and the villagers.  Maison Emmanuel is a nice extension of the daily Katimavik lifestyle.
